Florence is Co-Founder of Indigenous Women in Mining and Resources Australia, which is a platform created to bring together Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women from within the minerals industry. The platform showcases peoples stories and experiences in the efforts to awareness of inclusion and diversity opportunities.

Her industry experience spans across Operations to Corporate advisory and consultation. Florence understands, from a grass roots level, the importance of the dynamics of community and stakeholder relations and how shared vision can shape a sustainable future. Focused on solutions-based outcomes for quality progression of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander workforce, the IWIMRA team has grown the reach of the network not only nationally, but globally, alongside international Women In Mining networks.  This organic trajectory has helped her understand the global conversations of equality in culturally safe workplaces for continued positive relations and upholding the values of partner communities.

Florence’s contribution to increasing participation and pathways for women in non-traditional industries, has seen her launch Kara Ged. This joint venture is focused on constructing quality, high end finished modular living solutions in mining camp lifestyles. With AI technology, ergonomic, health and hygiene improvements, Kara Ged aims to be the better standard of mine site experience and seeks to address current workforce challenges to do with mental wellness and safety.
