Apprenticeship Engagement Officer
Madeline has experience in education, the arts, campaigning, organising, caring for country and advocacy. She is a qualified teachers aide, and is inspired by her family who have also worked in education and made a positive impact . Organisation such as Big Hart, TasTAFE, The Smith Family and The Australia Institute have benefited from her broad expertise and she has also provided consultancy and cultural awareness services to many other organisations.
Madeline was Aboriginal VET Student of the year for Tasmania in 2013, and represented Australia at the APEC Youth Skills Camp in China in 2014. She was also a Young Leader at the global Women Deliver conference in 2018.
Madeline has volunteered for Amnesty International and was part of their Global Youth Task Force. In 2018, she was a panel member at the United Nations Youth Forum in Geneva, speaking about human right defenders and issues First Nation’s people face in Australia
Madeline is a palawa and Koorie woman based on the North West Coast of Tasmania.
