Non-Executive Director
Luana Melis is a general counsel, company secretary and director with over 20-plus years experience in the property and construction industry. This includes positions with Mallesons (now King Wood Mallesons), funds manager QIC and developers Grocon and Time & Place. A proven strategic thinker, she has broad experience advising on complex real estate and construction transactions; such as acquisitions, mixed-use, retail, office and industrial developments, BTR, land subdivisions, office and retail leasing, joint ventures, property financing and restructures.
Luana has experience in risk management, legal process and technology, corporate governance, compliance and intellectual property and has held positions on leadership and executive teams. She is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Luana is passionate about diversity and inclusion, in particular promoting and fostering women and gender diverse people in property and construction. She believes strongly in the theory “I am because we are“; a theory that humans cannot exist in isolation, that we depend on connection, community and caring. Luana will bring this belief into her work as a non-executive director.
