Future Pathways into Trades opens doors for girls and gender-diverse people from Years 9 to 12 from socio-economically disadvantaged communities. .
The program offers hands-on trade experiences, opportunities to connect with employers, and the confidence to imagine and pursue a future in trades.
The program includes workshops and information sessions, engaging school-aged women and gender-diverse students facing intersectional barriers and educational disengagement.
Participants gain hands-on trade experience, meet qualified tradeswomen, and take part in trades exploration, experience and placement in their local community.
The program continues to build awareness, confidence and aspiration among young women, turning exposure into opportunity. By showcasing real pathways into trades, the program challenges gender stereotypes and opens doors to secure, meaningful work.
Plans are underway to expand this program to additional regions.
