Richard Dent, OAM FAICD, has exercised leadership for a better world for more than 25 years.  As a Chair, Board Member, CEO and Executive across multiple for-purpose organisations he has focused on inclusion, equity, governance, strategy and leadership.  He has helped emerge a better world by bringing together key skills in leadership, advocacy, business, and social policy.

As a CEO, Richard established the Joan Kirner Women’s Leadership Program, the New & Emerging Women’s Community Leadership Program, the Women on Boards Leadership Program and the Muslim Women’s Leadership Initiative. He collaborated in multiple national and international activities with The 100% Project, the Honour a Woman campaign and the Not in My Workplace initiative. He was instrumental in establishing the TWA Community Foundation as part of the Tradeswomen Australia Group, and he established a range of other gender-equity programs and scholarships supporting women in leadership, including with the Victorian Rural Women’s Network.

Richard was also an advocate and initial architect of the National Disability Insurance Scheme and he has been active in multicultural leadership, rural and regional leadership across Australasia.
