The Managing Director of Tradeswomen Australia, Fiona McDonald has been appointed to the Advisory Board which will guide the National Careers Institute (NCI).

 

Jane Sydenham-Clarke, Chair of Tradeswomen Australia welcomed the appointment of Ms. McDonald by the Hon. Michaelia Cash, Minister for Employment, Skills, Small and Family Business, saying “the work of the National Careers Institute would be vital in creating a training, careers and employment framework for Australia.”

 

Ms McDonald also welcomed her appointment saying it indicated the importance the Federal Government placed on increasing the number of women in the trades and to ensure that education and career planning connects with national skills requirements.

 

The Advisory Board will guide the National Careers Institute’s strategic direction and provide independent, expert advice to support the in delivering its purpose, objectives and defined role as outlined in the Charter. The Charter was approved by the Minister for Employment,

Skills, Small and Family Business (the Minister) on 6 August, 2020.
