National Lead – Workplace Equity
Abby Kempe is a national workforce equity strategist specialising in institutionalising psychosocial safety, retention economics, and structural reform across male-dominated industries.
She applies design thinking and systems-based methodologies to develop original, bespoke strategies that translate complex policy and regulatory obligations into measurable cultural and operational change. Her work recognises that narrative shapes systems, and that advancing equity requires reframing how organisations understand risk, value, and participation.
At Tradeswomen Australia, Abby leads the design and delivery of workforce equity initiatives integrating Positive Duty, psychosocial WHS regulation, and participation strategy into practical reform.
She is Chair of HerSpace, an anti-slavery organisation advancing psychosocial safety through trauma-informed governance and systemic prevention.
She features on the Tradeswomen Australia podcast pilot “Pressure Is Normal – Harm Is Not.”
Abby holds an AACSB-accredited MBA (Distinction), a Bachelor of Psychological Science, a Diploma of Justice, and is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (MICDA).
