QUOTES ATTRIBUTABLE TO:
Clea Smith, CEO Tradeswomen Australia:
“We are so excited to be launching Powering Her Pathway—an ambitious initiative that’s set to reshape the future of women in clean energy trades. This is more than a program; it’s a movement. Together with our incredible partners at TAFE Gippsland, ENGIE, and RMIT, and with the support of the Federal Government, we’re breaking down barriers, challenging outdated norms, and building real, inclusive pathways into high-demand industries. The future of clean energy is diverse, skilled, and powered by women—and it starts right here, right now.”
Laura Caspari, Managing Director Renewables and Batteries, ENGIE:
“The Powering Her Pathway initiative is set to transform the future of women in the energy transition – particularly in clean energy trades. As Australia continues to work toward a net zero economy, the demand for skilled workers will soar, and these roles must reflect the diversity of our communities. Gender equity is more than just the right thing to do—it’s critical for driving innovation, productivity, and engagement. By addressing systemic barriers faced by women in clean energy careers, Powering Her Pathway will deliver lasting benefits for women, the sector and the economy. ENGIE is proud to be part of this game-changing journey.”
Laura Macpherson, CEO, TAFE Gippsland:
“Gippsland is already home to some amazingly talented tradeswomen working in clean energy and this project is a way of providing this opportunity to others who may need some assistance getting there. TAFE Gippsland is dedicated to leading the way in clean energy training during this period of major transition in the energy sector and we are pleased to be able to provide this opportunity to train and nurture women in what is a traditionally male workforce.”
